Prophecies about the end of the world are a coincidence 'strange' with the day of the Pope's resignation

Pope Benedict XVI resignation has sparked yet another “end of the world” scenario. This time, doomsayers are basing it on a so-called “Malachy Prophecy”. The Malachy Prophecy has been a hot topic lately on Twitter following the announcement of the pope’s resignation. St. Malachy supposedly accurately named the 112 popes through cryptic Latin phrases beginning with Pope Celestine. But what really grabbed the attention of the public was when it said that the 112 pope will be the last and will bring in the end of the world. According to the manuscripts, the phrase "gloria olivae" is actually Pope Benedict XVI and is the 111th pope, which means that the next pope will be the 112th and the last one.
